• Premium features activated with a licence key on a computer once stay activated on it forever.

• 4K Download licence keys don’t have an expiration date; they last a lifetime on up to three computers. After activating one licence three times, you will have to acquire a new licence key to activate it on other computers.

Can I delete or transfer activations?

It’s technically impossible to delete or transfer activations. Each activation registers on a computer by attaching to the hard disk's ID. Even if you delete 4K Download apps from your computer, the activation is not removed from the database.

If you want to have activation on more than three computers, you can purchase an additional licence key.

What happens if I reach the activation limit?

When you have a licence activated on more than three computers, the licence key gets blocked, and you cannot activate it on other devices.

If you change your computer due to technical issues or if your computer has been stolen, this is also counted as a separate activation. In such cases, you can contact our support team, and they will investigate your case. The support team's email is support@4kdownload.com.

Will I lose an activation if I reinstall the OS?

OS and app reinstallations are not considered to be separate activation. However, if you change parts of your computer (for example, hard disk), it is tracked as the activation on a new device.

Sometimes the licence key can reach the activation limit after OS reinstallation; an activation on a freshly reinstalled OS is counted as the activation on a new computer. If this is the case, don't hesitate to get in touch with the support team, we will check the database and fix the licence key.

I purchased a personal licence, and I can't download anything because I'm asked to upgrade to Pro. What am I doing wrong?

You are not obliged to upgrade to Pro unless you wish to do it yourself. Usually, the tab with the upgrade offer is shown to you when you paste the licence key, not the link to the video. Please ensure you copied the link from the browser correctly, and only after that press the Paste Link button.

I purchased a licence key for 4K Video Downloader. Can I activate other 4K applications with it?

No, the licence key for 4K Video Downloader is valid only for this particular application. 4K YouTube to MP3, 4K Stogram, 4K Tokkit and 4K Video Downloader for Android are different programs that require different licence keys. Please also note that if you purchase a licence key for 4K Video Downloader for Android, you can activate it only on your mobile device. If you purchase a licence key for 4K Video Downloader for desktop, the licence key will be valid only for desktop computers.

I have a problem with the activation of my licence key. What should I do?

1) If you paid for the licence a while ago, but the key number and activation instructions haven’t arrived, do the following:

Firstly, check the spam box of your mail; the letter with the licence might be there.

Check the inbox of the billing email (the one you made the purchase with or the one connected to your PayPal account).

When you’ve made sure there is nothing related to the key in your mail, contact support, providing the purchase email and order number.

If this problem appears, ensure you’re pasting the key in the licence number field in the 4K Download app you’ve bought the key for.

5) Empty response problem or Invalid key followed by incomprehensible symbols:

Try to insert the key manually.

If it doesn't help, turn your antivirus off and try again.

If this fails to work, too, please connect to another WiFi spot or use any VPN utility of your liking, then paste in the activation key again.

I can’t find my licence key. What should I do?
