Strikes, account suspension, and user reports are routine threats that no YouTuber is safe from. Sometimes, three strikes of competitors or angry viewers can kill years of work, no matter how large the channel is—it still hurts. We know that content creation, especially creation of videos, is not as easy as it seems, so we’re offering a solution—backup of your own YouTube channel.
Back Up Your YouTube Channel with 4K Video Downloader Plus
4K Video Downloader Plus is a desktop solution for downloading audio and video content, including YouTube, that’s why it can be used for backing up a YouTube channel. Here’s how it works:
-
Install 4K Video Downloader Plus on your computer. The app is compatible with Windows, macOS, and Ubuntu devices.
-
Go to YouTube and copy the link of your channel.
-
Get back to 4K Video Downloader Plus and paste the link by pressing the Paste Link button.
Alternatively, you can use the in-app browser within the app. Just select YouTube (optional: log in to YouTube right in 4K Video Downloader Plus), and search for your channel. Then press the Download, and here you have it.
-
Press Download Channel.
-
Select the content type (audio or video), its format, and quality.
At this step, you can also select which videos you specifically want to back up or leave checkmarks as is to back up your entire channel.
-
Press Download [Number] videos.
Voila! The videos will be downloaded in a folder that our app creates specifically for them.
At this point, you must be wondering: “Alright, but what about the videos I’m only about to publish, not the ones I already have? Should I download the entire channel again?!”
Absolutely not. Instead, you can have your new videos automatically downloaded on your device right after you upload them on YouTube. Here’s how.
Have Your New YouTube Videos Automatically Backed Up Too
-
Repeat the steps 1, 2, and 3 from the previous guide.
-
Now, instead of Download the Channel, choose Subscribe to the Channel.
-
Select the format, quality, and output folder.
-
Click Subscribe and make sure the Download Existing toggle is off.
There you go! Here’s how you have all your videos—old and new—backed up. Now you’re prepared to upload all your content back again in case something happens to your channel. Try 4K Video Downloader Plus for free!
