We’re excited to announce the rollout of the new 4K Video Downloader for Android, a handy mobile format of the software you love! 4K Video Downloader for Android has just gotten a fresh update, bringing a host of new features and improvements to make downloading your favourite videos even smoother. Android 2.0 isn’t just a polished-up version of the app you know—it comes packed with helpful updates that users have been waiting for. Here’s a closer look at what’s new.

Group Downloads into Folders

Tired of scrolling through scattered downloads? With Android 2.0, you can now group your downloads by channels and playlists, organising your content into neat folders. This makes it easier to manage large collections of videos. However, if you're migrating from an older version of the app, note that previously downloaded content from channels and playlists will appear as individual videos, not grouped.

New Filters and Sorting Options

Finding the right video has never been easier. A new tab in the app allows you to filter content by type—choose from Videos, Audio, Playlists, Channels, or view everything all at once. Additionally, you can now sort your downloads by name or date, making it quicker to locate specific files. Sorting works both in the main app window and within individual folders, giving you more control over your media library.

Smarter Download Progress Tracking

The new version also updates the way download progress is displayed. When you download playlists or channels, the app now tracks the overall progress of the entire folder, rather than each video individually to give you a clearer idea of how much longer you’ll need to wait for everything to finish.

Built-In Browser for Seamless Navigation

4K Video Downloader for Android 2.0 now has a built-in browser for easy access to internal links. Whether you need to purchase a licence, check out support resources, or browse the FAQ section, you can now do it all without leaving the app. It’s a smoother experience that keeps you focused on your downloads instead of bouncing between different apps.

From the main menu, click on the three dots in the top right and choose your options: License, Desktop App, Feedback, and About.

Permissions and Security Updates

This version also tackles some common installation and permission issues. If required permissions are missing, you'll be prompted with a new 'Grant Permissions' button and a warning message to help you resolve the problem quickly. The update also addresses the ‘Unsafe Application Blocked’ warning that some users encountered during installation, ensuring a more secure experience.

Enhanced File and Format Management

Android 2.0 makes several improvements when it comes to managing media files. For starters, the default video quality has been set to 1080p to help you conserve storage space. The default format is now MP4, which should be compatible with most devices. Audio is no longer downloaded in OGG format, making the overall process simpler and more streamlined. Other fixes include resolving issues with MKV files not showing up in the gallery and addressing incorrect media file size calculations.

Improved Sharing and UI Layouts

The update also tackles the pesky issue of sharing links directly from the browser, making sure it works as intended. On top of that, several layout tweaks have been made throughout the app, giving it a more polished look and ensuring smoother navigation across different devices.

The 4K Video Downloader for Android 2.0 is now here to download and install! Update to the latest version and take advantage of these new features today.
