How to Convert BMP to JPG
BMP (Bitmap) is an image format developed by Microsoft and is the standard image format on Windows. BMP files are typically large because they store image data without compression, which can be an issue for efficient file storage and sharing, especially over the internet. If you want to save space and reduce loading times, one of the solutions is to convert your BMP images to JPG with 4K Image Compressor. This desktop application quickly converts BMP to JPG, and can even be used offline! Follow the simple steps below to turn your BPM images into JPEGs.
1. Launch 4K Image Compressor. It’s available for Windows, macOS, and Linux.
2. Select the output format. In the toolbar, click Format and select JPEG from the drop-down menu.
3. Select the optimization type. In the toolbar, click Optimization and select Auto.
4. Upload your BMP. To select the file, click the Compress button in the middle of the application window. Alternatively, you can simply drag and drop the image.
5. Find the converted file. Hover the cursor over the image preview, then click the folder icon to open the directory containing your JPG image.
