How to Convert HEIF to JPG
HEIF (High-Efficiency Image File Format) is a modern image file format that was introduced in 2015. It serves as a more efficient alternative to traditional formats like JPEG, offering improved compression and higher image quality. However, HEIF is used primarily on iOS and macOS devices, and is not as widely known and supported as JPG. This leads to compatibility issues, like when you try to view HEIF images on Windows. Luckily, with 4K Image Compressor you can easily convert HEIF to JPG on Windows, macOS, and even Linux. Follow the simple steps below to turn your HEIF images into JPEGs.
1. Launch 4K Image Compressor. It’s available for Windows, macOS, and Linux.
2. Select the output format. In the toolbar, click Format and select JPEG from the drop-down menu.
3. Select the optimization type. In the toolbar, click Optimization and select Auto.
4. Upload your HEIF. To select the file, click the Compress button in the middle of the application window. Alternatively, you can simply drag and drop the image.
5. Find the converted file. Hover the cursor over the image preview, then click the folder icon to open the directory containing your JPG image.
