How to Convert JFIF to JPG
JFIF is a standardized format developed in the early 1990s to facilitate the exchange of JPG images between different software and hardware. It is essentially a subset of the JPG format, featuring additional metadata structures that make it easier for applications to interpret and display image data correctly.
However, JPG is now a more widely recognized and supported format than JFIF. Many applications, websites, and devices may not recognize JFIF files, leading to issues when trying to upload or display images. This is where 4K Image Compressor comes in. This cross-platform application allows you to convert JFIF to JPG either one by one or in batch, with remarkable speed and quality retention. Follow the simple steps below to convert your JFIF images to JPG.
1. Launch 4K Image Compressor. It’s available for Windows, macOS, and Linux.
2. Select the output format. In the toolbar, click Format and select JPEG from the drop-down menu.
3. Select the optimization type. In the toolbar, click Optimization and select Auto.
4. Upload your JFIF. To select the file, click the Compress button in the middle of the application window. Alternatively, you can simply drag and drop the image.
5. Find the converted file. Hover the cursor over the image preview, then click the folder icon to open the directory containing your JPG image.
